Zen, art and elegance
The Lamai was likely the best hotel I have experienced to date- starting with the elegant historical architecture and grounds. Its like being transported to an 18th century Chinese traditional village which meets a traders palatial home. The feeling of feng shui is abundant and yet subtle. The rich dark wood elements and antique furniture blend with the calming smooth stone bathtub and spa like design. Choose a room with pool access for a blissful experience. The trees, flowers, the calm beach are divine. The staff are extremely professional and warm. I had two massages in the mystical cave like spa. Pom is the masseuse who was just incredible with grace and technique. Deen left lovely flower arrangements daily in my room. Everyone is so thoighful. The food is wonderful. There is no where else I would have spent my self care retreat.
